Component variants are here in beta! You can now group related parts — resistor families with different tolerances, connector series with multiple pin counts — and manage them as a single logical unit. Navigate between variants in the component detail view, see the full family at a glance.

What's new

• Component variants. Create variant groups to organize families of related parts. The UI shows variant relationships in component details and lets you jump between siblings.

• Revision picker. When adding components to change orders or assemblies, you can now select a specific revision. Backend is wired up; frontend integration ships next.

• Vendor descriptions. Vendors now have a description field. Good for noting preferred status, lead time quirks, or context on why you're working with them.

• Quote lookup by component. New GraphQL resolver pulls all quotes for a given component in one call. Faster than iterating through vendors manually.

Fixes

• Fixed a race condition in the Onshape flow where document generation could fail but leave behind orphaned revision records. We now write the revision before generating the document.

• Altium document link creation is now batched. Large library syncs are noticeably faster.
